PP Polybag
PP Polybag
PP bags are preferred in many sectors. The reason for this is the physical and chemical properties of these bags. Among these properties, chemical resistance makes pp bags the most attractive. It can resist up to aggressive chemicals belonging to the acid and base family. But it is not resistant to non-polar liquids such as benzene and methyl chloride. It is a type of bag that is resistant to environmental conditions such as air, water and temperature. In addition, gelatin pouches have high air permeability and low vapor permeability. For these two reasons, it is actively used in the food industry. Another of the most popular features of gelatin bags is their durability and hardness. It also provides shock absorption. It is more durable and long-lasting when used with other chemicals.
In Kemahlıoğlu Plastik, Petkim raw materials are used in PP bags in order to obtain standard and quality products. Otherwise, a different raw material specific to that production is used upon request. For more than 25 years, Kemahlıoğlu Plastik has been a contracted customer of Petkim Petrochemical Holding, and thanks to the bilateral relationship it has established with Petkim, it directly reflects the advantage it gains in raw material procurement to its customers.
The main differences between Polyethylene and Polypropylene are as follows;
- PE bags are stronger than gelatin bags
- Gelatin bags are more rigid than PP bags.
- PP bags are more resistant to chemicals and organic solvents.
- Polyethylene bags have the ability to stretch. PP bags are a hard material that does not stretch.

The textile industry uses PP bags rather frequently. Depending on preference, gelatin bags can be created with or without printing. It can be produced in a single layer up to a minimum thickness of 30 microns and a maximum thickness of 80 microns, depending on the type of product. Special options like Gelatin Tape bags, PP gusseted gelatin, air holes, and hanger holes can be added to bags made of this polymer.
In bags with PP tape, one side of the bag is left a little long. It is produced by sticking a tape on this long side. These taped bags have a protective cover on the adhesive side. After placing the product in the bag, this cover is removed and glued to the short side of the bag. In pp tape bags, a gusset can be added to the bottom and an air hole can be opened.
In gelatin gusseted bags, the gusset is made on the preferred side or sides of the packaging. The gusset process is applied to the side or sides selected in line with the specified length, giving depth to the bags. This depth facilitates the packaging of Pp bags and products with high height. In addition to gelatin gusseted bags, options such as tape, air hole, hanger hole can be applied.
Apart from these, all these products can be produced by including options such as hangers, locks and zippers as accessories.
As Kemahlıoğlu Plastik A.Ş., Petkim raw materials are used in the production of gelatin bags unless otherwise requested. Kemahlıoğlu reflects the price advantage it has gained in raw materials directly to its business partners due to its business partnership with Petkim for many years.
