Ethylene is a colorless gas molecule in the monomer (the most stable pure substance) state. It is obtained by the breakdown of aliphatic hydrocarbons, which are abundant in petroleum. Ethylene molecules undergo condensation or chain reactions to form polyethylenes. Low density polyethylene is referred to in the literature as a type of thermoplastics. In the plastic industry, it is referred to as IDPE.

IDPE Properties

  • Bags produced from LDPE raw materials are resistant to rupture.

  • High impact resistance.

  • Bags made of low density polyethylene are slippery.

  • Can be easily colored.

  • High resistance against stretching

IDPE Areas of Use

  • Store Market – grocery bags

  • Salt – sugar – chicken bag

  • Clamping covers

  • Toys

  • Films (Greenhouse cover, bag, bag)

  • Home – kitchen utensils

  • Bubble wrap – Stretch
