We care that packaging waste is properly collected and recycled into our economy. This process ensures both efficient use of limited resources and energy savings. In cases where this practice cannot be done efficiently, we find solutions to avoid polluting the nature. We aim to protect our nature, which generously offers us all its resources for us to live and produce. One of the projects we have developed for this purpose is biodegradable bags. These bags allow plastics to degrade in nature.

Compostable Bags

Bio-plastics are used to make compostable bags. Bio-plastics are derived from natural sources such as plant starches, vegetable oils. The polymers obtained are renewable and biological. It does not consist of fossil-based, i.e. petroleum-derived inputs. These raw materials are polymers produced by chemical processing of biological resources. Under the conditions provided in composting facilities, the life cycle of bio plastic is very short compared to a fossil-based plastic. These products meet the EN13432 standard. The carbon dioxide emission released in the production of bio plastics is very low. Main advantages; Acquisition, production conditions and environmental impact, renewability and return to the food chain through composting. The perception that it disappears quickly when left uncontrolled in nature is wrong. It has a shorter life cycle than fossil-based plastic. Its main advantage is in composting facilities.

Biodegradable Bags

Biodegradation takes place with or without oxygen. Microorganisms destroy the molecular structure of biodegradable substances by secreting a kind of acid. As a result, they metabolize these substances. In other words, it consumes them like nutrients. Meets ASTM D5511, ISO DIS 15985, ASTM D5210 standards. Shelf life is the same as petroleum-based plastic until dissolution conditions occur. Dissolution does not start on the shelf.

Oxodegradable Bags

Oxo-soluble additive has been tested in international laboratories. It has received compliance with ASTM 6954-04 standards. Referring to this standard, it starts to degrade between 18-24 months depending on the usage rate. It is claimed that it disappears by turning into water, carbon dioxide and trace amounts of biomass (humus) without leaving toxic waste. The downside is that degradation also starts on the shelf after 18-24 months. Shelf life is limited.

Oxodegradable Bag

Oxodegregable Bags

Recycled Bags

In the interest of sustainability, we carefully encourage the use of recycled bags. Our product line includes packaging packages with the RCS certification, such as bags and bags. It is made from LDPE raw material that has been reprocessed. We create goods whose quality is managed and whose environmental impact can be measured. Authorized, licensed companies gather waste. It is divided up, recycled, and then turned back into raw materials. According to demand, recycled raw materials can be utilized 100% in production. 5% and higher can be employed, depending on demand. It may be combined with raw materials of the original quality for this use. As Kemahlolu, we possess the Textile Exchange’s RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) certificate. This document proves that the recycling process is auditable and traceable.
